If we really want to equip our kids and help them to aspire to be something greater than we are this is exactly what we need to do. We cannot give them everything their heart desires, they have to learn how to earn it. They must be taken out of their comfort zones and learn lessons that they will be able to keep with them for a lifetime. This is one of the reasons that I agree with #JoeDeSena when he talks about making his kids more uncomfortable rather than more comfortable. To challenge them rather tan gift them everything. We learn best through adversity. We learn value through struggle. This will help stretch our kids and give them the necessary tools to be successful in a difficult and often cruel world.
