All About Your Metabolic Energy Systems

We often struggle with finding out the best way to train to meet our goals. We have this idea that spending hours on the treadmill are the only cardio that we need. I see those people in the gym all the time. The do little else, see little change in their athleticism or weight and get discouraged because they don't see the results that they want. You need to know which energy system you are working to get the most benefit, especially if you are playing a specific sport. If you are not playing a sport you still need to know this stuff so you can vary your workout routines to get the maximum benefit from your time spent in the gym.
