Why Every Athlete Should Do Yoga

I can only speak for Combat Sports (mixed martial arts, boxing, kickboxing, etc) and running because these are the sports I actively participate in. It is also a realm where I see many people (men especially) not utilizing yoga as a great resource to help them achieve their peak athletic potential. Often the guys in combat sports feel that yoga is just for women. Where there are lots of women that do yoga (gorgeous, athletic women at that) it is challenging for everyone. Not only is it challenging it moves your muscles in the exact opposite ways our strength training routines for sports do, which gives you the exact flexibility and muscle stretch to help you heal and recover from those brutal workouts.
