One of the biggest struggles many of us face in combat sports is when is enough, enough. We often workout so hard and believe that it is continually helping us to get better. In reality there is only so much beating a body can sustain. You must push yourself to the brink of exhaustion, but still protect yourself from injury or overtraining. So in short TRAIN SMART. We see these effects in the first Dos Santos vs. Velasquez fight. Dos Santos looked terrible in that fight and much of it was attributed to overtraining. When you do that you risk years off your career or just the decrease in your quality of life and whether you are an athlete or not, who wants that?
