Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Exercises - Sports Stretching

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a debilitating problem in people who have repetitive motions with their hands. This happens when the nerve that runs from your elbow down to your hand is pinched at the wrist, specifically the carpal tunnel. Often it is thought that the best method is to immobilize or wear a wrist brace, which could actually be one of the worst things that you can do. Most of the time this is caused by the tightening of ligaments and muscles that also run through the carpal tunnel that then pinch the nerve and cause all the pain. The other popular solution is surgery to un-pinch the nerve and provide some relief. However, that option causes scar tissue and can be even more problematic in the long run. So the best option is preventative medicine. Regular deep stretching, not 10 secs of stretching while you are feeling some pain for temporary relief, but a focused regiment of stretches that address the affected area, will always be the best medicine. So check out this video and start to combat that before it starts.
